Products of this type are finished by creating a frame with a height of approximately 12-24mm on the reverse side of a flat type product to raise the product and make it appear floating off from the wall. Products of this type throw a shadow onto the wall, giving a floating appearance. This presentation method reminds people of contemporary art.

Materials used for creating this floating effect are also stainless steel (this is in the case of Millennium Photos and Stainless Photos; while brass is planned to be used for Brass photos).

Adhesives or welding are to be used in fixing components and surfaces.

If adhesives are used, they are strong industrial metal adhesives; however, they can retain their adhesive capabilities for approximately 20 years. Please note that regular maintenance is required thereafter. Peeling may occur even within 20 years depending on the usage environment. The adhesive part of a larger product may not withstand its weight; therefore, we set a maximum size for processing.

The fixation performance of adhesives is far lower than that of bolts; therefore, the strength of this fixation method is weaker than that of other methods. Welding is robust; however, this is a special order. Please ask us for details. Welding requires a longer delivery period than other orders. It is also possible to hide the components which raise the product, even when viewed from the side by reducing the sides of the component parts or making them lower on the reverse side compared to those shown on illustrations.

Floating-type products are suitable as gifts because they do not require major installation work such as inserting bolts.

As shown in the illustration, a gradation margin, black margin, and pattern margin are available. A cut-off which leaves no margin is also available.

Installation method

Nails, wires or ropes can be used for installation. We recommend nail or screw fixation because with these methods, the fixation materials cannot be seen from the outside. Hanging hooks can be attached to the product upon request. Although the strength is low, direct adhesion using adhesives or sticky tape is also possible.
